Terms and conditions Seat Plus
Seat Plus Service Terms and Conditions General
General information
1. These Terms and Conditions (“T&C’s”) apply to the SEAT PLUS service, offered by French bee (the “Company”), which allows a passenger (the “Passenger”) to attempt to obtain one or more available seats next to him/her, either through an immediate purchase (the “Purchase”) or by submitting a bid (the “Bid”).
In the event of an immediate Purchase, the Passenger selects or is allocated a seat in a dedicated area of the aircraft, together with the reservation of the corresponding number of adjacent additional seats included in the Purchase.
In the event that a Bid is accepted, the Passenger is automatically seated in the dedicated area of the aircraft corresponding to the Bid, with the allocation of the number of additional seats provided for under said Bid.
2. The Company may modify the SEAT PLUS service and these T&C’s at any time, without prior notice. It is the Passenger’s responsibility to consult these T&C’s regularly and prior to departure.
3. The Company reserves the right to discontinue the SEAT PLUS service at any time, without prior notice and without incurring any liability.
4. The Company shall not be held liable in the event that a Purchase or a Bid is rejected for failure to comply with these T&C’s.
5. These T&C’s are in addition to the Company’s General Conditions of Sale and Carriage (available at https://www.frenchbee.com/fr/conditions-generales-vente-transport).
Capitalized terms not defined in these T&C’s shall have the meaning given to them in the General Conditions of Sale and Carriage. In the event of any conflict between these T&C’s and the General Conditions of Sale and Carriage, these T&C’s shall prevail with respect to Bids and SEAT PLUS.
6. By making a Purchase or submitting a Bid, the Passenger confirms that he/she has read and understood these T&C’s and agrees to be bound by them.
Eligibility
7. Purchases may be made or Bids may be submitted:
- For flights operated by the Company. The Company reserves the right, at its sole discretion, not to offer the SEAT PLUS service on certain flights for operational, safety or security reasons. SEAT PLUS is offered exclusively in Economy Class and in a dedicated area of the aircraft.
- For eligible Passengers who have purchased a ticket from the Company or an Accredited Agent. The following Passengers are not eligible: unaccompanied passengers under the age of 12 who require mandatory handling by the Company (UMNR), young Passengers aged twelve (12) to eighteen (18) years for whom the UMZZ accompaniment service has been purchased, groups, Passengers requiring special assistance (STCR), or Passengers travelling with a cabin baggage on seat (CBBG).
It is specified that booking files (PNRs) containing four (4) Passengers or more are not eligible for the SEAT PLUS service.
8. Any Purchase made or Bid submitted shall apply solely to the Passenger in the booking who initiated the request. In the event that a Purchase or an accepted Bid results in the allocation of a SEAT PLUS to one Passenger, all Passengers included in the same PNR shall automatically be transferred to the dedicated area of the Passenger benefiting from the SEAT PLUS. Other Passengers included in the same PNR are not entitled to make a separate Purchase or submit a separate Bid; they may only modify the existing Purchase or Bid, subject to the applicable conditions.
If any Passenger included in the PNR does not meet the eligibility criteria set out above, no Passenger included in the PNR shall be entitled to make a Purchase or submit a Bid for SEAT PLUS.
Where a PNR includes multiple flights, the Passenger may select the flights for which he/she wishes to purchase SEAT PLUS or submit a Bid, subject to the eligibility of such flights.
9. Purchases and Bids may only be made on the Company’s website, (via the e‑mail sent by the Company, on the product dedicated page, or on the online check‑in page.
10. When making a Purchase or submitting a Bid, the Passenger must enter a payment method (credit card only). For the submission of a Bid, a bank pre‑authorization for the Bid amount is requested from the Passenger and remains valid throughout the entire bidding process. Such pre‑authorization does not constitute acceptance of the Bid. If the Bid is not accepted, the pre‑authorization is automatically released, with no debit.
In the event of acceptance of a Bid or completion of a Purchase, the corresponding amount shall be charged to the credit card.
11. The Purchase or the Bid shall be made in the currency of the website used by the Passenger, unless another currency is specified on the SEAT PLUS by French bee page.
12. Any SEAT PLUS purchased or obtained following acceptance of a Bid by the Company is non‑refundable and is valid solely for the flight and date concerned by the Purchase or the Bid.
One or more SEAT PLUS seats may be purchased. The total number of seats allocated to a Passenger following a Purchase or an accepted Bid may not exceed the number of seats available within a single block located on a single row.
Specific conditions for the Seat Plus
13. Only one (1) Bid may be submitted per PNR and per flight.
14. A Bid may be cancelled or modified up to six (6) hours before the flight departure, unless the Bid has been accepted.
15. In the event of any modification to the PNR prior to acceptance of the Bid, the Bid shall be cancelled and the Passenger shall be required to submit a new Bid.
16. Acceptance of a Bid by the Company is subject to seat availability and to Bids submitted by other Passengers. Acceptance is at the sole discretion of the Company and is assessed based on various criteria, including in particular the number of available seats, the Bid amount, the date and time of submission of the Bid, and the number of Passengers included in the PNR.
17. No later than six (6) hours prior to the flight departure, Passengers will be notified by e-mail whether their Bid has been accepted or not.
18. In the Bid is accepted, the amount of the Bid shall be charged to the credit card entered at the time the Bid was submitted.
If the means of payment has expired or is no longer valid after acceptance of the Bid, the SEAT PLUS will be cancelled and the Passenger shall retain the seat and services initially purchased.
19. Where several Passengers are included in the PNR and a Bid is accepted for one of them, all Passengers included in the PNR shall automatically be transferred to the dedicated area of the Passenger benefiting from the SEAT PLUS. This seating arrangement may however not be maintained in the event of operational disruptions, in particular in the event of an aircraft‑related irregularity (IRGAV).
Use of the Seat Plus
20. The fare conditions of the ticket initially purchased shall remain unchanged and shall continue to apply to the Passenger, in particular with respect to cancellation conditions, change fees and baggage allowance.
21. Where the Passenger has already purchased a seat at the time of the initial booking and subsequently makes a Purchase or submits a Bid for SEAT PLUS, the Passenger shall be assigned to the dedicated area determined by the Company. No refund shall be granted for the seat initially purchased.
22. Any specific request relating to a meal or baggage allowance already associated with the PNR shall be transferred to the SEAT PLUS, without any modification to the services initially included in the ticket.
SEAT PLUS does not include any additional services, in particular with respect to baggage or catering.
23. Purchases or accepted Bids cannot be refunded, except in the following cases:
- The flight concerned by the SEAT PLUS has been cancelled by the Company and no rerouting is planned, or rerouting is planned without SEAT PLUS.
- The flight has been operated, but the SEAT PLUS could not be provided due to a cause attributable to the Company (e.g. aircraft change, operational, safety or security requirements).
In these two cases, the Passenger’s payment card used for the payment of the SEAT PLUS will be re‑credited with the amount paid, in the currency used for the Purchase or the Bid. The Passenger shall receive an email confirming the refund.
In all cases, the cancellation of SEAT PLUS shall not engage the Company’s liability and shall not give rise to any compensation.
24. No refund shall be granted where the SEAT PLUS is not allocated due to an act or omission attributable to the Passenger, including modification of the booking, cancellation of the booking, or failure to present for boarding.
